Terms of Sale

The plain terms that govern any order you place with Derwaza.

Draft for review — not to be published before the owner signs off.

Every highlighted [bracket] is a fact the owner still has to supply, and the clauses marked in red need his explicit approval.

01

About the shop

Derwaza is a Kuwaiti brand selling bukhoor, oud oils and perfume, operating from inside Kuwait. By using the site or completing an order you agree to these terms.

02

Prices and currency

All prices are in Kuwaiti dinars, shown to three decimals and inclusive of applicable charges. Delivery and cash-on-delivery fees are added visibly at checkout before you pay. Prices can change; the price that binds us is the one at the moment your order is confirmed.

03

When an order becomes binding

Your order is an offer to buy. It becomes a contract when we confirm it with an order number. Until then we may decline all or part of it.

04

Availability

Everything is offered subject to availability. Stock updates in real time, but if the last unit sells before we prepare your order we contact you and offer either an alternative or a full refund.

05

Cancellation by us

We may cancel an order before it ships if stock has run out, if there was an obvious pricing error, or if we cannot verify the payment or the delivery details. In every case we refund in full and tell you why.

Needs your approval: the right to cancel on a pricing error is a commercial decision, not just wording — confirm you want it.

06

Cancellation by you

You can cancel free of charge as long as the order has not gone out for delivery — message us with your order number as soon as you can. Once it is out for delivery, the returns and exchanges policy applies.

07

Payment

We accept KNET, Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay through our payment provider, plus cash on delivery where it is offered at the time of ordering. An order whose payment does not complete is not prepared.

08

Using the products safely

Bukhoor and fragrance are for external use only. Do not swallow them, keep them out of reach of children, and never leave charcoal or a burner unattended — put it out after use. If your skin is sensitive, test a small amount first. We are not responsible for misuse.

09

Content and trade marks

The Derwaza name, logo, photography and copy on this site belong to the shop and may not be copied or used commercially without written permission. Photographs are illustrative: the colour of the wood or the strength of a scent can vary slightly between batches, which is the nature of a natural product and not a defect.

10

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, and any dispute that cannot be settled amicably falls to the Kuwaiti courts. If one clause is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force.

Needs your approval and a lawyer's eye: the governing-law clause is the first thing anyone looks at in a dispute.

This is practical commercial wording in plain language, not legal advice. Have a Kuwaiti lawyer review it before launch — the returns, data-protection and governing-law clauses in particular.
