Privacy Policy

We collect as little as we can, and only so your order reaches you.

Draft for review — not to be published before the owner signs off.

Every highlighted [bracket] is a fact the owner still has to supply, and the clauses marked in red need his explicit approval.

01

Who we are

Derwaza is a Kuwaiti online shop selling bukhoor, oud oils and perfume, and Derwaza is the party responsible for your data. You can reach us at any time from the contact page.

02

What we collect

Your name, phone, email and delivery address (governorate, area, block, street, house), plus the details of your order. If you join the newsletter we keep your address and the date you agreed. If you write to us from the contact page we keep what you wrote so we can answer you.

03

Why we collect it

To prepare and deliver your order, to answer you when you need help, and to keep the invoice records our accounting obligations require. We do not use your data for anything else without telling you.

04

Payment

Payment happens at our authorised payment provider on their secure page. Your card details never pass through our site and we never store them. All we see is whether the payment succeeded and a reference number.

05

Who we share it with

With the courier (name, address and phone only, so the parcel reaches you), with the payment provider, and with the hosting and database provider that runs the site. We do not sell or rent your data to any advertiser. Full stop.

06

Cookies

Essential cookies only: one keeps your cart, one keeps the site language, and one keeps your session if you have an account. We run no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.

07

The newsletter

We only add your address to the newsletter if you entered it yourself, and we record the date you agreed. Every campaign carries an unsubscribe link that works on the first click, and you can leave at any time without writing to us.

08

How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for five years for accounting and warranty purposes. Contact-form messages are deleted one year after they are closed. Newsletter data stays until you unsubscribe.

Needs your confirmation: five years for order and invoice records is the common period for accounting records in Kuwait — confirm it with your accountant.

09

Your rights, and how to reach us

You can ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be corrected or deleted — except what we are required to keep, such as invoices. Write to us from the contact page: we reply to email within 24 to 48 hours and complete the request within thirty days at the latest.

This is practical commercial wording in plain language, not legal advice. Have a Kuwaiti lawyer review it before launch — the returns, data-protection and governing-law clauses in particular.
